Sebastian Jäger – Holistic Health & Movement Coach
About me
With over 20 years of experience in health, fitness, and coaching, I holistically support people on their path to greater physical and mental balance. My focus is on fitness, yoga, breathwork, meditation, and mobility training. In my work, I combine scientifically based training with mindful movement concepts and mental clarity—always with an eye on my clients' individual goals.
I have extensive training as a certified fitness economist, health coach, personal trainer, and nutrition coach, as well as numerous other licenses in functional training, rehabilitation sports, group fitness, and body & mind. As a certified yoga teacher, I have also completed advanced training in Yin Yoga, Vinyasa Power Yoga, yoga for seniors (60+), yoga with blocks and straps, and creative class design (2024).
My passion for conscious breathing led me to train as a breath coach, which I successfully completed in March 2025. Breathwork has become a central element of my coaching—be it for stress management, performance improvement, or emotional resilience.
As a meditation teacher, I also integrate mindfulness and relaxation exercises into my coaching – for a sustainable transformation that strengthens both body and mind.
My holistic approach is based on the belief that true health is more than just fitness. It's about balance, presence, and the ability to connect with oneself.
Professional experience
2016 to present
2007 - 2015
2004 - 2008
Yoga teacher & holistic movement expert
In 2016, I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training in India – a formative experience that fundamentally expanded my understanding of movement, regeneration, and body awareness. Since then, I have been supporting people on their journey to greater flexibility, inner balance, and physical resilience – with a modern, functional approach to yoga that intelligently combines movement, breath, and mindfulness.
My focus today:
-
Functional mobility & targeted movement control
In my advanced training course Yoga for Athletes (Yoga Medicine, 2024), I have deepened how active ROM training, PNF techniques, isometric holds, and eccentric loading can be meaningfully integrated into yoga classes – for greater freedom of movement and joint stability. -
Breathwork & nervous system regulation
Thanks to my training as a breath coach (inZENtive, graduating in 2025), breathing is now the focus of many sessions. The goal is not only to improve breathing mechanics but also to activate the parasympathetic nervous system – for more calm, focus, and regeneration in everyday life. -
Mindfulness & mental alignment
As a certified meditation teacher (iEK, 2021), elements such as silent meditation, body scan, and mindful breathing are regularly incorporated into my teaching – for a deeper connection between body and mind. -
Age and needs-appropriate yoga classes
Whether Yin Yoga (Yogibar, 2019), Yoga for Seniors (Spirit Yoga), Hands-on Assists (Sha-La Studios, 2025) or creative class design (Safs&Beta, 2024) – I design each unit in a differentiated and practical way: with a focus on stability, variability and self-awareness.
My goal: to get people moving through well-founded, modern yoga – with a clear structure, functional focus and at the same time space for stillness, breathing and personal development.
Group Fitness Instructor & Course Leader
My passion for movement began long before my yoga teacher training – in the world of group fitness. Since 2007, I have been teaching classes that combine energy, structure, and the joy of functional movement.
Whether strength, endurance or conscious bodywork: During this time I have completed in-depth training, among others in
• Toning & Stability Master Instructor
• Step
• Indoor Cycling (ICG Pro Level)
• Les Mills formats
as well as in Body & Mind concepts such as
• bodyART (Instructor since 2017)
• deepWORK (Instructor since 2014)
My focus has always been on course formats that are functionally oriented, clearly presented, and provide lasting strength to participants – both physically and mentally. These experiences continue to inform my work today: structured, motivating, and clearly executed – but always with an eye for the individual.
Specialization as a personal trainer
Between 2004 and 2008, I completed my training as a qualified fitness economist. During this time, I laid the foundation for my holistic work in the fitness sector and specialized in the following areas:
classic strength training
Personal Training
Training planning and control
Nutritional advice
In addition to my training, I acquired several relevant additional qualifications, including:
Fitness Consultant/Sales Manager
health coach
Personal Trainer
Nutrition coach
Cardio fitness trainer
Sports rehabilitation trainer
This time was characterized by intensive theoretical and practical engagement with training theory, performance diagnostics, anatomy, nutritional physiology, and individual client care – the ideal basis for my current work as a holistic coach.
